Carissa's Baptism

Image
Hi y'all! What's up? Sorry that you'll lowkey be getting a lot of emails today since Chad couldn't send out my email last week because my family was in Cali! Here are some highlights from my week. One of my favorite people ever, Carissa, got baptized! Wow, it was so amazing, something I will never ever forget. I've been reflecting a lot because my mission is slipping through my fingers so fast, and it literally makes me so sad. It's so crazy to me what we do as missionaries. It's crazy that God trusts 19, 20, 21-year-olds to do the most important work that could ever be done on this earth. We are all so underqualified, but I know he qualifies each and every one of us, and most importantly, I know he has qualified me. It is so sacred and special watching those you love make the greatest decision they could ever make and be baptized. It's even more sacred being the instrument in God's hands that gets to teach them the most powerful lessons they could e...

The Book of Mormon Is TRUE

Hey friends and family! I want to express my love for all of you. I apologize for missing a week of email writing, but I have so much to share, so this might be a lengthy one! Sister Mcbride, being the incredible individual she is, quoted 2 Nephi 29:8: "Wherefore murmur ye, because that ye shall receive more of my word? Know ye not that the testimony of two nations i...

Ayoo, what's good everyone? HAPPY 4th of July! Our p-day got moved to today, let's go. Ngl, I think this is the hardest holiday for me to miss! Probably because if you know my fam, you know we go crazyyy with fireworks. It's okay though, I am extremely grateful to be out here! Here are some highlights for the week. Zone conference: Always good to be with other missionaries and hear from the best mission president in the world!! We talked about the new Preach My Gospel and of course, we're all diving in deep right now, and it is truly remarkable. We had a lesson with our friend Anthony who is currently on date for baptism. He told us he is getting baptized in our church and then getting baptized in another church a couple of days after. That was awkward... We had to respectfully tell him that's not how it works, haha. Cool story about him I'm not sure if I mentioned, but his girlfriend is a convert that is less active, who joins all of our lessons via phone, and ...
