The Greatest Gift This World Has Ever Been Given

Image
Friends and family, hi! Merry Christmas! Wow, do I have so much to talk about and so little time! I just want to apologize; I am so bad at responding to emails right now. Basically, p-days are ball, eat, repeat. But I appreciate them so much, and they mean so much to me. Just know I love you and will try to respond soon!! The week started out on such a high when Elder Vetter landed in the splits while playing volleyball. Oh wait, it gets better; we then got into a muffin fight with our district, and honestly, you just had to be there. I didn't know I could love humans so much. My district means everything to me. I would do anything for them. Such a highlight of this transfer so far is our relationship with the zone leaders too. They do so much for us, and they really feel like our best friends. It makes such a difference in the zone. Okay, we are finding like crazy here in Waukee. The Lord is blessing us so much!!! Here's a quick rundown on some of the people: The Green family:...

POV: Your district writes your email: Hi Kimberz fans! Just wanted you all to know that she can actually dunk, and it's so swag, dog, for real. -King James ||| (Yes, I do have a castle in Scotland) "Anything" -Elder Vetter When was the last time you cried? -Elder Cluff Sister Liljenquist gets the ball in the corner. She yells bet! Airball -Elder Westwood (Alexa, play Christmas Shoes) -Sis Niedermayer Okay, Sis Lil, now... I just want the whole world to know, I am my district's biggest fan!!!! They are the best people I have ever met, and I have truly not laughed this hard in so long. It's so elite This was easily the hardest but best week of my entire mission. The highest of highs but also the lowest of lows. Sister Kinghorn's grandpa passed away Monday night, and I can honestly say that's one of the hardest things I've ever had to witness someone I love go through. Every missionary's biggest nightmare is someone they love passing away while they...

The Final Ride

481 days ago, I stepped off the airplane, welcomed by my amazing mission president and his wife, thinking, "What in the world had I gotten myself into?" I met my trainer, Sister Johnsen, the next day. She told me she was from Holladay, Utah, and in that moment, I knew God was aware of me, and that everything was going to be just fine. My first full day in the mission, we drove 30 minutes to district council where I walked in and asked two elders if they were both my district leader. (SMH) They laughed and explained that there was only one, but two zone leaders. The first thing I said was, "How fast does it go?" One elder looked at me and said, "Don't blink." Now here I am entering my final 6 weeks, wondering where the heck the time has gone. I don't want this to end. We found out transfer news... I will be finishing my mission here in Waukee and am staying with Sister Kinghorn. I am so happy! There's no better place I would want to conclude thi...

"When We Gettin A Diet Coke"

Hey to all of my favorite people!!! It's transfer week, so that's why you're getting an email from me today. I know what you're thinking..."It's transfer week already?" Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing. I swear I was with Sister Kinghorn just yesterday!!! Time is hauling. I'm stealing this from Sister McMullins email: "The weeks are going too fast. I feel like I'm standing on the outside of a train, at the front, with my back to it pushing against it trying to get it to slow down, and it's just going zooommmmmm." This is exactly how I feel. But let me tell you about my week!!! I got to go on my "sprint trip." Sprint trip is where our mission president takes us to Nauvoo to do an endowment session, go to the shops, and go to Carthage Jail right before our last transfer to motivate us to sprint to the end!! Easily one of the best days in my entire mission... actually my entire life!!! There's nothing better than spen...
