Big 12 Here We Come

What is uppp friends and fam!!! Another week in the boonies??? Yessir!! This week was a little slower. Finding here is a grind but we have found some really cool people!! We had another lesson with Terrance this week and let me tell you he is sooo dope!!! He seems really interested and he tells us that he's really working on changing his life around and he wants to be better, he also told us that he would be interested in being baptized eventually so that's hype!! We're gonna continue to keep meeting with him! We also taught a member named Andrew who is really cool and also seems super interested! We gave him a church tour and taught him the plan of salvation and he wants to keep meeting with us!! We had CDC (combined district council) in Quincy, Illinois which was so sick!! We were able to go to panda express before and wowwwww do I miss foods like that!!!!! It literally tasted unreal. We also went to Nauvoo to the relief society stake conference which was really awesome!! Sorry this email is all over this place this week was kinda jumbled haha! 

 

 

I just finished this book called "When you can't Do It alone" by Brent L. Top. He was a mission president and talks about his struggles and how he relied on the lord. In the end he says how at times he felt like giving up and he said "I knew that the lord would not let me fail, because the mission was his, not mine, the missionaries were his, not mine, the gospel was his, not mine. I am just an instrument in his hands." And I love that. I am just an instrument in his hands. Is my favorite phrase!! Because this work is NOT about me. I teach HIS work, not mine. And when people reject me, they are rejecting HIM! 

 

 

I challenge you all to listen to "the conversion of Bill Carpenter" it will have you in tears. It's about a convert who served in my mission!! And it is simply amazing! Listen to it and email me!!! I love you all!!! 

 

 

 The most homesick I have felt on my mission so far is hearing that BYU beat Baylor in double ot!! But sooo sick can't wait to be back at Lavell one day! 

Also my fam just let me know that they are pulling up to the Oregon, BYU game this weekend and that had me down bad so pray for me this week!!! Jkjk but fr haha! Football season is the best and I take every opportunity I get when I walk into someone's house and they get the games on!! GO COUGS BABY

Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you all had the best week/Thanksgiving. Here are some highlights of my week. Okay, so flashback to a couple of weeks ago when I was serving in Indianola. Sister Hopkins and I went to visit a referral who said she wasn't interested. We noticed a dude sitting on his porch, so we went to walk over, but he was gone, and there was a big pit bull barking at us and running across the deck. We decided to knock on the house next door. When we went to knock, the dude walked back outside. We walked back over to him and asked if he wanted to hear a message.
