We Be Therapists

Yoooo!! I hit my 1 month last Thursday so that was sick! I can't believe I've been a missionary for a month already, so crazy!! This week was so awesome!!! So let's get into it!

We had zone conference which was sooo amazing!!! The spirit was so strong!! President Barney is really focusing our mission on not only converting other people but ourselves as well. Which I think is so awesome!! Every single one of us can convert ourselves more every single day. There's 3 things he told me in my interview and also in zone conference which I tell myself every single day. I love it so much.  They are:

1. Show up

2. Have faith

3. Trust the process!!

I love this so much because not only does it apply to missionary work it applies to life in general! So think about that on days that are hard or even if you just want your day to be better!! All the departing missionaries bore their testimonies and I loved that because it helped me to realize the type of missionary I want to become and the missionary I want to be by the time I leave!!

Miracles this week!

There were a lot but imma keep it somewhat short. We invited our friend Terrance to church and he came!!!! Which was the best day to come because it was fasting testimony meeting and it was one of the most powerful sacrament meetings I've ever been to!!! We've been trying to get into contact with him for awhile and he wouldn't respond but we invited him to church and he came so that was so cool!!! Then we went over that night and taught him and his family, his wife his daughter and her boyfriend, and him and his mom! We taught the restoration and plan of salvation!!! They were so interested and asking so many questions and couldn't stop smiling! We asked them if we were to go get a BOM from our car if they would read the introduction and a chapter and they said they would! So we grabbed some BOM's and some pamphlets and the second we handed them out they were reading them! They told us to come back on Thursday and teach them again so that was so awesome! Terrance told us he knows we were sent to him for a reason. It was incredible!

I've learned so much so quickly here in Mount Pleasant. I also didn't realize I would become a therapist but I really have become one haha! The amount of things people dump onto us is insane! But the biggest thing I have learned is that there is always so much going on in these people's lives. But the ONE thing that is always constant in their lives is the gospel of Jesus Christ! They RELY on this gospel! They really truly do. These people and members give their everything to their branches, and the gospel! They make it the center of their lives which is exactly what it should be!! Never in my life have I seen 8 kids so excited to have the missionaries over for dinner. They love us with everything in them and it is the coolest thing I've been able to experience. I love being a missionary, even when people hang up on me and tell me they don't want to talk! Because seeing the way people light up when we tell them they get to be with their families forever is a feeling I can't describe!

Scripture this week!

D&C 84:88

88 And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up.

This is a promise!! He will ALWAYS be there for you no matter what!! RELY on him!

I love you all!!! Have the best week!!!
