Quit Trippin

Hiiii everyone!!! What is good!!?! I hope everyone had a great week! Nothing too crazy this week so imma just give some highlights!

- Monday-tuesday we had exchanges! I was with Sister Lake!! We were doing some knocking and we knocked on this ladies door that one time said she was interested but every time they knock, the friend answers! Well, the friend answered again but gave us her number! Later that night we needed to go hang up some posters for our Christmas event, so we hit the first gas station Sister Lake found. Walked in and started talking to the cash register lady, she told us she was interested so we asked for her number! Turns out IT WAS THE LADY WE WERE LOOKING FOR WHATTTTT. WILD.

- Met the sweetest 17 year old who gave us her number and texted us last night and set up her OWN APPOINTMENT. We have to get permission to teach anyone under 18 so we told her we needed parent approval. She said "no worries I already talked to my parents about you guys and they are totally okay with me meeting with you guys!" WHAT?! Let's goooo

- Had a lesson with Thaine this week which was super good!! He loves to give us commitments since we give him one every time. Mine this week is "any time you get worried just remind yourself things will be okay! Take a deep breath and quit trippin!" I definitely need to quit trippin hahaha thank you Thaine!!!

Spiritual thought:

This week we were teaching a family. I asked the 13 year old boy what he asked for for Christmas and he said "well right now we are having troubles financially so I don't think I'm going to get anything. but it's okay because as long as I have a roof over my head, I am happy!"

I have not stopped thinking about this. I wish I could go back and give everything back I was ever given for Christmas. Why is it that I was so blessed at that age and this sweet boy probably won't receive a single present? Why couldn't I have that mindset at age 13? Why can't all of us think that way?

We already have it all! everything we need. Because of our Savior Jesus Christ!! THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS!!! It's not about the presents. I wish so badly I could tell that to my younger self. I wish so badly I could use all the money I brought on my mission and give it to this kid to get what he wants. But that's not even the point of Christmas! That's not what brings us true happiness!! Christmas is centered on Jesus Christ and his birth! This gospel of Jesus Christ is what should bring us the most joy! We are all so blessed!! May we all be like this sweet 13 year old boy! May we all see the true meaning of Christmas!

I'm so lucky I get to wear Jesus Christ's name across my chest every. Single. Day. And I get to share with people the true meaning of Christmas by spreading a gospel that is life changing! Never have I ever felt closer to my Savior than before!!

"There is no better time than now, this very Christmas season, for all of us to rededicate ourselves to the principles taught by Jesus Christ. The Christmas season is a time to reflect and act upon the blessings and opportunities we have because of the birth, life, Atonement, and Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. As our Heavenly Father “so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son” (John 3:16), we express our love toward one another and toward God and His precious Son by giving of ourselves."

I'd invite you all to give up something for the savior. Doesn't have to be anything crazy! But he sacrificed SO much for us. The least we can do is turn our hearts towards him this Christmas season.

Also big 12 next year baby lets get it

I love you all!! Don't forget the true meaning of Christmas! Have a Merry Christmas!!!! Stay safe
