The Earth Is Flattt

Wowow what is up everyone!!?? I hope all is well!! This week was GOOD!!! Probs the best week I have had on my mission so far, full of SO MANY MIRACLES!!!! so let's run it up!!! buckle up for real this time, imma give some highlights!

- A couple weeks ago we found this lady who told us we could come back. We had stopped by multiple times and she was never there. Then we stopped by again and she had covid. we went by Monday night and she opened the door and let us in!!!! We asked if she had ever heard of our church and she said no! what!?! (literally everyone knows who we are) we asked If she had heard of the bom and she said no! so we taught resto and she was SHOOK! She goes to a Methodist church and told us she feels like she owes more to God! She said she is all open and wants to learn more! So we went back Thursday and she let us in again and we finished resto and she is still shook!! This was the most powerful lesson I have had so far. literally the spirit was so strong and completely took over the lesson! she had tears in her eyes the whole time and it was so amazing!!! big miracles baby lets gooo

- Tuesday-Thursday we had zone conference! Tuesday and Thursday on zoom and wednesday in Nauvoo! Elder Yaggi from the 70's and his wife came and spoke all 3 days! He interviewed me and sister Blackburn and it was such an amazing experience!! He told us that he told pres and sister barney to pick 12 people from our mission and we were 2 of them! The spirit was sooo strong this week and he answered so many of my prayers!!!

- Friday we went to the Nauvoo walk in Nauvoo with the Telfords and Jazmin!!!! We got to walk around the sites and hear Christmas music and Christmas stories! It was awesome!! Such a cool experience!!! Jazmin had so many questions and we got to tell her why Nauvoo is so special!

- Saturday we did some service at the Telfords and helped them set up their Christmas decorations! I can't even lie, it made me miss Mel's insane Christmas decorating :(

- We took one of our pbts (people being taught) alcohol and looked like a meme walking down the street as missionaries with our hands full of alcohol.

- Talked to this dude named Kevin who is an absolute dawg. The dude was drunk out of his mind but me and him bonded when he told me lil uzi is his favorite. We invited him to church but sadly he didn't come! it's okay though because we now know where to find him so he'll be there next week HAHA

- We knocked on a door and the dude opened up and we did the typical missionary thing "we are missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" etc and asked if he wanted to talk about Jesus christ? and he responded with "I was excommunicated a couple years ago" to say it went awkwardly silent is an understatement haha

Elder Yaggi shared a scripture with our mission that I want to share!

This is talking about when Joseph Smith received revelation to have Oliver Cowdery translate the book of mormon!

D&C 8:1-2

*insert your name instead if Oliver Cowdery

1 Oliver Cowdery (your name), verily, verily, I say unto you, that assuredly as the Lord liveth, who is your God and your Redeemer, even so surely shall you receive a knowledge of whatsoever things you shall ask in faith, with an honest heart, believing that you shall receive a knowledge concerning the engravings of old records, which are ancient, which contain those parts of my scripture of which has been spoken by the manifestation of my Spirit.

2 Yea, behold, I will tell you in your mind and in your heart, by the Holy Ghost, which shall come upon you and which shall dwell in your heart.

I know that this is true. I have experienced this on my mission as I have asked in faith with an honest heart if the book of mormon is true! It's given me more knowledge of the Book of mormon than ever before!! and like it says, the Holy Ghost will tell you in your mind and heart! I KNOW THIS IS TRUE!!!! The Book of mormon is truly life changing. It has changed my life in more ways than I thought were possible!

We are also doing a mission Facebook live event on Sunday December 18th at 7:00 PM, so 6:00 PM for all of you Utah friends!!! WATCH IT!!!! It's gonna be so good with some amazing music that the missionaries in my mission have prepared! I'll put the link below!! tell all your friends and fam about it as well, anyone can watch!!!!
