I'm A Farm Girl Now??

What's up shawties!!!! We out here vibin’ in the outskirts of the mish in good ol Pekin, Illinois. I'm still just tryna figure out where the heck I am, hahahah.

BUT WE BACK WITH SIS OTTO AND IT IS SO LIT!!!!! We goin crazy out here fr! We have big plans for these next 6 weeks before Sis Otto leaves so we're gonna go even extra hard baby.

I'm right next to Chicago, so they call it "mini Chicago" here and I've never been to Chicago but I don't need to anymore because it's basically where I'm at, haha. I'm also like 3 hours away from my brother's mission so that's super hype!!!

On the real tho, I thought Iowa was kinda crazy. I guess I didn't know what crazy was! Illinois is truly built differently! Specifically around Peoria haha! All I'm sayin’ is look it up and you'll know. I actually feel like I'm living in the hood and it's kinda crazy. West Des Moines definitely prepared me for here, that's for sure!

I do miss WDM so much and I'm super excited to one day be back!!!!

We had a super dope lesson with our boy Robert in the pouring rain standing on his porch! He told us he wants to be baptized and told his family and they all are down to be baptized as well so that's super sick!

We found a long lost member hahah. We got a referral from the Hawaii sisters and we stopped by and started asking the lady questions and she's like "yeah I'm a Latter Day Saint" we were like uhh what!?

We helped this lady on her farm. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! I apparently unlocked a love that I didn't even know I had! I felt like my mom when she was younger!!

This lady had goats, horses, a bull, a lamb, guineas, ducks, geese, etc

We cleaned out the stalls and then brushed one of the horses and braided its hair! It was so litttt! All I'm sayin’ is I wouldn't be upset being a farm girl, maybe one day that'll happen, ya never know!

The work here is super fire! We're teaching this 20 year old named Blake who came to church!!! Teaching people my same age is honestly so weird I like don't even know how to act sometimes but it's also super lit.

We got referred to go see a lady this week whose son was baptized a couple years ago by the elders here. Her son (the one baptized) passed away a month ago. The elder who baptized her son wanted us to go check on her and luckily she answered the door! We stood on the porch and prayed and cried with her. I felt the spirit so strongly and it was an experience that helped reassure me again, why I am out here. An experience I never want to forget.

I've also been fed spaghetti two times in two days this week so we are back on a spaghetti kick unfortunately. I have to say spaghetti is unbelievably mid, I do not care what anyone says!! Sorry dad.

Spiritual thought:

"When you wonder how much pain you can endure well, remember Him. He suffered what you suffer so that He would know how to lift you up. He may not remove the burden, but He will give you strength, comfort, and hope. He knows the way. He drank the bitter cup. He endured the suffering of all."

When things get hard, turn to him. He loves you, he will help you. Don't forget it.

Also rip march madness. I heard this year was an absolute joke! We'll get 'em next year! Go Jazz tho!

And me and Sis Otto are tryna get swole!! We broke the bank on protein but it's worth it! Also let me know any good pre workouts, we're tryna cop!

All I'm sayin’ is wait til you see us.
