Dynamic Duo Complete :(

If there is one thing my mission has blessed me with, it's been companions who I have loved so incredibly dearly.

When I got the call from Sister Barney that I was going back with Sister Otto, my first thought was "wow, run it back??" Haha, but fr I was wondering what God had planned there. Now I know that it was everything both of us needed!

Everyone told me that "killing" a companion would be hard. For me, it was one of the most sacred experiences I've had on my mission. It, no doubt in my mind, shaped the rest of my mission! It has been exactly what God knew I needed. I am so grateful for Sister Otto and all that she taught me, and I'm even more grateful that God trusted me enough to be her last companion!

Okay, now yoooo! Welcome back to my weekly vlog, hahah!! I hope everyone is doing good!! This week was soo fire, let's run it up!!!

Monday: For Pday, Sister Otto and I went to Peoria and went to Target, TJ Maxx, Bath and Body Works (yuh), and T Roady (Texas Roadhouse). It was super lit!

Tuesday: We drove to Iowa City for MLC (Mission Leadership Council), which was so good! It's always fun to be with other missionaries :) Then, we had exchanges with the STLs in Marion, Cedar Rapids!

I was with Hermana Fillmore, and it was sooo fun!! I love her so much!! One of their members took us all to dinner at this Mexican restaurant that was so bussin fr!

That night, Hermana Fillmore took me to this less-active's house. Holy fetch, the most boujee neighborhood I have seen on my mission. This lady let us inside, and I literally was so mesmerized, hahaha. I felt so out of place. I guess I'll stick to the houses where there are 5 cats crawling on me, no place to sit, and I leave smelling like I just smoked 12 packs of cigarettes! Hahaha.

Wednesday: Drove back from Cedar Rapids, and of course, had to stop at the world's largest truck stop. It was actually super sick!!

Thursday: Had a super dope lesson with Blake! He's still set for his baptism date on May 20th, but he's pretty much been taught everything, so we might push it up!! Let's gooo, super hyped for him!!!

We also had a lesson with Madi (our recent convert) and her mom! It was so cute, Madi was showing us all of her perfumes, and so we bonded over that!! She also lovessss Ariana Grande perfumes, so she knows what's up.

Friday: We had exchanges with the Galesburg sisters!! I was with Sister Warner, who went to Bingham High School and is in the army! It was super fun!!

We also did service with all 5 of us for a member in our ward!

She is moving, so she wanted us to sort out clothes that she is getting rid of!

Let me give you a run-down of how it went, haha.

We were all in the basement sorting clothes. She told me this basket of clothes was clean, I started sorting it, definitely not clean. Then the little boy (Elijah) comes downstairs, finds a random orange, and asks me to peel it for him! So I'm like, yeah, I'm sure it's fine, so I start peeling it. Then I asked his mom, and she said no, he couldn't have it, so I threw that thing away real quick.

She wanted us to sort the clothes by sizes, so she told me and Sis Warner to go upstairs. We go up, and Elijah is sitting on the couch with the 5-month-old baby sitting next to him in the little carrier, chomping on a chicken that had been cooked days before. Basically, we folded clothes and played babysitter. Every once in a while, I would have to adjust the baby's bottle because it would fall out of her mouth. While this was happening, Elijah was playing Juice World. I was not mad about it, that's for sure. But it was a super awkward situation because as missionaries, we're not really supposed to be in the same room as kids. It's okay, though, we chillin, haha.

Saturday: We had a SUPER dope lesson with this guy we called earlier this week. He is a less active, and we asked if he knows anyone that would be interested, and he was like, "Uh, actually, my gf is sitting next to me cah I put y'all on speaker?" We were like, "Oh heck yeah!!!" Anyways, she asked questions on celestial marriage, and we got a return apt and came back and shared a video on temple marriage, and it was soo sick!!!!! The guy also has 41 birds, and he let us hold some of them, so that was lit.

Sunday-Tuesday: Nothing too crazy! Found a couple of people who are interested, which was hype! Got transfer news, and I am staying and getting Sister Colson!! I will be training her to be STL, and I'm super excited!! Gonna be a sick transfer!!!

Sorry, this is long, but I love you all!!!!

Also, I hit 9 months on Monday!!!

If anyone wants to pull up to Sister Otto's homecoming, message me, and I'll send you the addy!!!

Also, I have too many pics from this last week that are just too good, so expect a ton of pics, hahaha, sorry not sorry!!

Love, Sister Liljenquist
