Exchanges And More Baptisms

Yo!! Happy Memorial Day!!! I hope you all have a super awesome day! I am currently driving home from Nauvoo!! We got to go do a session today with 35 other missionaries and wow, it was so cool!!! We were able to mob around Nauvoo and tour some of the sites, which was so fun!!! It's so cool to walk the same streets that Joseph Smith himself walked. My mission is so dang cool. I am so extremely blessed! This week was super busy and good, so I will try to keep it somewhat short with highlights, haha.

Monday: We had a very interesting lesson with a less active member and her boyfriend. Somehow, we got on the topic that he had served in prison for 5 years, and without asking, he whipped out his phone and pulled up his mugshot and started reading all of his charges, haha. This dude had just about every charge. I'll leave out all of the details, but ngl, I was kinda worried for us, haha.

After that, we found a lady who was literally so sweet! She had 2 of the cutest kids I've ever seen, and we were able to teach her a little bit of the restoration, and she told us we could come back!!

Tuesday: We had interviews with Pres! It was so good, and it's so cool to see how President and Sister Barney are so in tune with the Spirit! It was just about everything I needed! I LOVE them, and I am so blessed that I get to serve with them!

Thursday: We had an awesome lesson with Madi, Carissa, and also Jake (the dad)!! We talked about temples, and Madi asked if she can go inside. It was so cute! She's 11, so she has to wait till next year, but she is so excited! Carissa and Jake also loved it and really want to get sealed!! So cool!!

Also, they are getting married on June 9th so that she can get baptized!!!!!

Friday: Exchanges!!! I was with Sister Warner again in Galesburg! Literally so much happened within this exchange! We literally lifted a motorcycle into the back of a truck bed! The thing was so insanely heavy, haha. I was winded after! Never knew I would do that in my life, hahah.

Found a less active who told us the reason he isn't going to church is that he goes to a church in Peoria that signs for him because he's almost completely deaf! This guy hadn't been contacted for a long time, and it was so perfect because I happened to be on that exchange, and we have so many signers in our Pekin ward! So, I invited him to church and gave him our number! He also said he would be interested in hearing messages every week, and so I told him that if he needs someone to sign, someone in our ward can zoom in! So cool!!!

We also knocked on this guy that they had previously found last week, and he didn't answer. But then this lady and her 2 kids walked up to us trying to catch their dog, and then they started walking home. So, we boldly followed them and asked if she would be interested, and she said yes, so we shared a quick message, and she said we could come back! So sick!!

Saturday: We were able to drive up to DeWitt, Iowa, for a baptism of a guy that Sister Colson taught last transfer! It was so cool!!

Sunday: Blake was ordained a priest!!! Let's gooo!!!

Life is so good!! I am very truly happy!! It's so warm here, and I absolutely love it!

Go to the temple this week!!!!

I love you all! Email me!!!
