There's Only One True Church

Hey everyone! This week was super awesome, but I'm currently balling up, so I don't have a ton of time hahah. So, I'm just gonna give some quick highlights!!

Monday night, we had a FIRE restoration lesson and really focused on Joseph Smith with our friend Jason!!! The Spirit was literally so strong! We read parts of Joseph Smith history and asked him what he thinks, and he said, "there's only one God," and we said, "yeah and!??!?" and he said, "that means there's only one true church." FAX.

Got a referral from this dude this week and had 2 awesomeee lessons with him!! The second lesson we taught the plan of salvation, and he said something about his girlfriend, so we asked if she would want to join, and he said yes! She lives in a different part of Illinois and has been meeting with missionaries for 3 ish years!! The whole time we taught the lesson, she would go, "yeah Anthony, what do you think?" when we would ask questions, and then she would testify! So sick.

Had exchanges!! I was with Sister Klippel again, and it was such a party! This time we were in Pekin, and we had some awesome lessons, one with a part-member household whose husband is preparing for baptism!

FAM (Funny Awkward Moment) this week I just kept getting clowned, shocker right? Hahahaha

We were in a rush to leave the house, and so we got to gals lunch with the ladies, and I looked down, yeah I was wearing my slides. Wore 'em around the restaurant like a queen, I guess 💀.

Got mooned by a 13-year-old, yeah, that was mega awkward.

This week, I studied about the Atonement!

President Nelson, in a talk, says:

"This is the great latter-day work of which we are a part. That is why we have missionaries; that is why we have temples—to bring the fullest blessings of the Atonement to faithful children of God. That is why we respond to our own calls from the Lord. When we comprehend His voluntary Atonement, any sense of sacrifice on our part becomes completely overshadowed by a profound sense of gratitude for the privilege of serving Him."

I'm so privileged and blessed to be a part of this great work. I know that when we fully understand the Atonement, we want to serve Him. We want to be better!

I have been stretched in more ways than I ever could've imagined, but I wouldn't trade this opportunity for the whole world.

I'm so grateful for my Savior and His intimate and eternal sacrifice!

Being a missionary is the greatest thing in this world!

Love, Sister Liljenquist
