End Of An Era

Hi everyone! You're probably wondering why you're getting an email today. Haha, it's transfer week!

Transfer news: I am going to Whitewash (both brand new to the area) in Waukee (Des Moines) with the Queen Sister Kinghorn! Sister Cowley is going to Des Moines to Pinkwash! God really said I'm gonna keep them close together. This transfer is going to be too good. Sister Kinghorn, if you're reading this, I can't wait to party with you!

These past 12 weeks have been too good. So unique but so good. I have learned SO much about myself, but most importantly, I have learned to really rely on the Lord. These two transfers were so apparent to me that this really is the Lord's work. I know exactly why I was sent to Indianola, and I know I was meant to be here with Sister Cowley. I love her so much! I would not have wanted to serve here with anyone else. I am so grateful for her example and all that I learned from her. She is so awesome, and I can't wait to live with her when we get home. Gonna miss her!

I have also felt God's love so strongly. I have learned that I feel God's love the strongest through the people I serve around. Let me just talk about my zone for a sec. THIS ZONE. THESE MISSIONARIES. THEY'RE INCREDIBLE. Never have I felt so unified with a zone, sisters, or zone leaders. It has been so memorable and special. I feel so lucky to have served alongside these missionaries and learned from them. I will never forget these past two transfers! I'm so happy that God is keeping me in the Mount Pisgah zone.

Sister Cowley and I felt inspired to do trio exchanges this transfer with the sisters in our zone. It was so good. We all got so close, and they all got to know each other better. It was so fun to see each sister learn from each other. I've been so privileged to watch all the new trainees grow in just a short 6-12 weeks. I literally love nothing more than watching nervous, feeling so inadequate sisters turn into amazing, confident, bold sisters who fear nothing and just want to work hard. It has truly been incredible!

On one of our exchanges, we called someone who referred themselves. She answered and let us share a message with her. We invited her to church, and she said she would make it.

On another exchange, we taught a powerful Plan of Salvation lesson with Kathy, and I felt prompted to invite her to read 3 Nephi 11! She read it and told the sisters she can't stop reading it and wants to come to church.

I don't have a ton of time, but I just want you all to know how much I love each of you. I'm grateful for your love and support; it means the world!

I'm grateful for every day I have to be a missionary. Time is flying; it is so scary, but I'm so ready to work these last 12 weeks.

I love my Savior, and I know He loves me and each of you.

Read your scriptures and say your prayers!

Talk to you next week from Waukee.

Love, Sister Liljenquist.

P.S. Our morning pics go so hard! #GoCougs.
