Steph Curry??? More Like Sis Lil Curry

Lil' Buggy here. Y'ALL GOTTA BELIEVE THIS, OKAY!!! Sister N and dog can attest, I made 90 shots in basketball today. Just had to leave my mark on Waukee before I go home. Anyways, gonna hit the sushi bar with Nied Dawg this weekend, it's gonna be MEGA LITTY.

Once upon a time, there was a young woman who decided to go on a mission. She did all the necessary paperwork, and within a few weeks of completing them, she received an email. It was a call to the Iowa Iowa City mission. "Bet," she said. She went on to serve an amazing mission and blessed the lives of many people. First in Mt Pleasant, then West Des Moines, then Pekin, Indianola, and finally Waukee. She was not the same person she was at the beginning of her mission. For one thing, she was referred to as Lil John. Also, the dunkers of Waukee. Her whole district was sad to see her go. There were many tears shed, both Lil John and everyone's lives she touched. Iowa would never be the same after she left. Sister Liljenquist was one of the greatest missionaries I've ever known, and I'm grateful for the opportunity I've had to serve around her. I love you, Sister Liljenquist, and I hope you have a wonderful time back home. We'll all miss you, but am happy you have a lot to look forward to. Bye!

Shout out to the MVP of P-day morning basketball. Even Elder Westwood couldn't slow her down.

Idk where to even begin tbh. Sister Liljenquist legit didn't miss this morning. So elite. We are going to miss her on the court and in the mission. No one can top her griddy. It's been real serving around Sister Liljenquist. Texas Roadhouse runs will be missed. Sister Liljenquist is the goat fr, and the district will miss her so much! Catch her in the corner "bet."

Enough said. Gonna miss crossing you up and missing lol.

Yooo, this week was cracked! The snow days meant more time with Sis Lil John aka Jimmy aka Chicken Wing aka Chiquitita aka one of my favorite people on the planet! And also one of the balliest ballers I've ever seen. Also, our apartment breaking meant 2 sleepovers in one week, let's freaking go. On one morning, Lil John and I trekked through the snow through freezing temps to get some milk from the elders to make some German pancakes (shoutout to the eldies) and didn't fall a single time. We might have gotten lost, but that's beside the point. The point is that I love her to death, and you are all SO lucky to be getting her back. But you already knew that.

Hi!!!! Okay, I am sooo heartbroken. Sister Liljenquist is literally the best person ever, but y'all already know that!!!! She has truly served with her whole heart! It's so hard to see her leave!!! She really is the most kind & compassionate person!! Y'all should be so proud.

P.S. You have to tell her goodnight Kimberbug every night and also watch out she'll break ur ankles and tear up the court.

Wow, my district is amazing. If you aren't crying because of that, idk what to say haha. They are literally my best friends, and I literally can't tell you how sad I am. My heart just breaks more and more every day.

But just because I know you are all wondering, I played LIGHTS OUT today on the court. You would've thought I was Steph Curry. I carried my team and the district. Had more points than the elders! Even Elder Westwood couldn't guard me, that's all I'm saying. I can't wait to dunk on Chuck.

But onto the week. This was the craziest week of my entire mission. Probably because the high this week was about -18, and with the wind chill, it was -50. I have never felt a cold like this in my entire life. It has been brutal!!! This means we were stuck inside most of the week, which was kinda tough. I've also been pretty sick, which has been frustrating, but I'm getting better!

But we had a lot of super sick miracles!!!

Wednesday, we were able to go do service (Habitat for Humanity) outside, which was so cold but so lit. We built a ramp, and it was so fun! We also got to help a lady shovel her driveway.

Thursday, we were able to go out and knock a little, and as we were walking to our car, we met Amare! She said she was interested in a message and told us she was looking to grow her relationship with God. We downloaded the Book of Mormon app with her and invited her to read it!

We called her the next day when we were stuck inside, and she read to 1 Nephi 2, so we read 1 Nephi 3 with her. She said she loved it and loves that she can understand the Book of Mormon!

We called her again on Sunday and had such a powerful restoration lesson with her, and a member was able to join! She said she believes that Joseph Smith is a prophet, and when we asked her if she had prayed about the Book of Mormon, she said she did and she knows it's true. She already knows her answer. We asked how she feels, and she said she feels lighter.

Lately, I've just been so grateful for all the moments I've had on my mission. This past week, I've focused on how much I love teaching and how grateful I am that I've been able to teach people about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ these past 18 months.

We also were finally able to have a lesson with Raymond over the phone. We read the Book of Mormon, and it answered so many prayers he had.

We also called Tabie this week. We found her a couple of weeks ago at the Casey's but haven't had good contact since. We decided that if she didn't answer, we were gonna stop teaching her because it probably wasn't her time. We called, and she answered and told us how she's had a lot going on but is still interested. We shared a scripture, and she really liked it, and we set up a time to meet tomorrow.

I also got to spend some time with my district, and I love them so much.

I also went on exchanges with Sis Tremel Dog at the beginning of the week, and I just love her so so much. I feel so lucky that I've gotten to serve around her for so long!

Sis Niedermayer and Sis Tremelling also had 2 sleepovers this week at our apt, 1 because of exchanges and then the next night because they had a sewage problem at their apt! It was so fun having them.

We also did district dinner at Troady this week, and it was sooo lit.

I'm also so grateful for my parents in sending us pizza and groceries; they are the best.

I'm enjoying and taking in every moment, including the little things. Nothing is better than this.

There are miracles in everything. We just have to look.

You'll get my last email on Thursday because of split P-day!

Love your favorite baller and legend, Sister Liljenquist
