2023 was the best year of my entire life! A year I will never forget, a year that is engraved in my heart forever. A year where I changed the most, a year where I grew my testimony and conviction. A year where I came to know my Savior Jesus Christ, and where I walked with Him. A year where I met my best friends, people who I don't know how I ever lived without them. A year representing Jesus Christ and testifying of Him. A year of TRUE JOY. I am eternally grateful for 2023 and the good it was for me!
Happy New Year, everyone! I hope and pray that you will make 2024 a year centered on Jesus Christ like I want to as I prepare to come home. I love each and every one of you and am so grateful for your love and support this past year and also these past 17 months. It has meant everything to me.
This week was so good. I don't have a ton of time, so I promise to be better next week! But the most important thing is what I want to talk about.
Marisa got baptized! There aren't enough words to describe how much I love her. I truly feel like she is my best friend, sister, second mom all in one. Her desire and commitment to the gospel have forever changed my life. I am so lucky that Heavenly Father picked me to help her prepare to make the most important decision she could ever make. I'm so proud of her for her decision to get baptized! Nothing will ever compare to watching her husband Brett baptize her and confirm her a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The highlight of my week, and definitely of my mission.
I love being a missionary. I am so grateful for this experience.
These past couple of transfers have been harder, physically and emotionally. No one talks about how hard it is to go home. They say the hardest thing you could ever do is serve a mission, but the hardest thing I have ever done is prepare to leave mine. I would be a missionary for the rest of my life if I could!
I have spent the last couple of weeks praying extra hard to know how I can implement the things I've learned and continue to serve those around me.
I was on an exchange with a sister who said this to me, "Your testimony is your tag."
I am being reminded every day that I don't have to wear a tag to be a missionary!
I want my testimony to be written all over me, and I hope and pray it is!
God is so good. I am having the time of my life.
I love you all! Let me know what I can do for you!
